A Radiotelephony (RT) Licence is an official qualification that authorizes you to operate aviation radio communication equipment. It serves as a certificate of proficiency, proving that you have mastered the standardized aviation phraseology, radio procedures, and emergency protocols required for safe flight operations.

Radiotelephony License

To be cleared for your first solo flight, you are required to hold a valid RT licence.

    How to get RT Card The radiotelephone operator’s licence is issued by the Czech Telecommunications Office (CTU) following a successful examination.

    Study materials You can prepare for the exam either by self-study or with the support of our instructor. We provide all the necessary study materials.

    Exam date The test date will be arranged individually, usually within about one week after the order has been placed.

    The exam is held online The radiotelephonist test is available online in English and is conducted by video call, either in our classroom or remotely from home.

    Exam Duration and Certificate The exam takes about 30 minutes. After passing, you receive a certificate for CTU licence issuance.

    CTU Licence Issuance The CTU will issue your General Radiotelephone Operator's Licence on the basis of the certificate obtained.

When can I start my pilot training?

You can start your training with the online theory as soon as tomorrow. 

How long does the training take?

You can obtain your pilot licence in as little as 30 days for PPL(A) but you can also fly gradually according to your time availability – we will always adapt to your schedule and find the best way to make you a pilot.

What does ICAO English mean, and what is an RT Card?

ICAO English is the internationally standardized aviation English level required by ICAO for pilots (minimum Level 4 for normal operations).

Do you offer accommodation for students?

Is it possible to pay for the training in instalments?

Yes, you pay for your training as you fly. However, you must always have enough credit on your account to cover your scheduled flights

What is the difference between a Class 1 and Class 2 medical, and how long does the medical examination take?

A Class 1 medical is the higher standard required for commercial pilots and for students who plan to continue their training up to CPL or ATPL.

A Class 2 medical is intended for private pilots and has slightly less stringent requirements.

An initial Class 1 examination usually takes about one day, depending on additional tests, whereas an initial Class 2 examination typically takes around two hours.

How many aircraft do you have in your fleet, and where are your bases located? How many instructors do you have?

Our flight school operates a fleet of 26 modern aircraft – Bristell, Cruisser, Diamond, Tecnam, Cessna and Cirrus – all equipped with state-of-the-art Garmin glass-cockpit avionics.

We operate from bases in Prague Letňany and Ostrava Mošnov International Airport.

We have more than 20 flight instructors, some of whom also fly for airlines, private jets and air taxi operators. We always schedule training flexibly so that each instructor can provide their student with the maximum amount of knowledge needed for high‑quality training

Does the training price include any hidden fees?

No, without any hidden cost. Our training prices already include landing fees, handling and fuel, so there are no hidden charges.

Our pricing is fully transparent and students can always see every transaction in their student account throughout the training. Fees may only vary depending on the specific airports and destinations you choose to land at during your course
