Most frequently asked questions from our students

We do support non‑EU students with the process of obtaining a student visa. More information about Schengen pilot VISA.

When can I start my pilot training?

You can start your training with the online theory as soon as tomorrow.

How long does the training take?

You can obtain your pilot licence in as little as 30 days for PPL(A) but you can also fly gradually according to your time availability – we will always adapt to your schedule and find the best way to make you a pilot.

The duration of other training licences are listed on the respective training page.

What does ICAO English mean, and what is an RT Card?

ICAO English is the internationally standardized aviation English level required by ICAO for pilots (minimum Level 4 for normal operations).

A radiotelephony (RT) card is a radio licence that authorizes you to use the aircraft radio and communicate with ATC using standard radiotelephony phraseology

Do you offer accommodation for students?

Together with our accommodation partners, we offer our students a wide range of housing options in both cities,  Ostrava and Prague.

From shared accommodation and single apartments to high‑quality hotel stays, we always follow each student’s preferences to ensure their training takes place in the best possible conditions.

Is it possible to pay for the training in instalments?

Yes, you pay for your training as you fly. However, you must always have enough credit on your account to cover your scheduled flights

What is the difference between a Class 1 and Class 2 medical, and how long does the medical examination take?

A Class 1 medical is the higher standard required for commercial pilots and for students who plan to continue their training up to CPL or ATPL.

A Class 2 medical is intended for private pilots and has slightly less stringent requirements.

An initial Class 1 examination usually takes about one day, depending on additional tests, whereas an initial Class 2 examination typically takes around two hours.

How many aircraft do you have in your fleet, and where are your bases located? How many instructors do you have?

Our flight school operates a fleet of 26 modern aircraft – Bristell, Cruisser, Diamond, Tecnam, Cessna and Cirrus – all equipped with state-of-the-art Garmin glass-cockpit avionics.

We operate from bases in Prague Letňany and Ostrava Mošnov International Airport.

We have more than 20 flight instructors, some of whom also fly for airlines, private jets and air taxi operators. We always schedule training flexibly so that each instructor can provide their student with the maximum amount of knowledge needed for high‑quality training
