Upset prevention and recovery
Advanced UPRT
Two days, after which an aircraft in an unusual attitude won't catch you off guard. Training runs at Brno Tuřany on the Zlín 142, with instructors who have real airline experience. This training is required for a commercial or airline pilot career.
Why learn this before you need it
When the aircraft ends up somewhere it shouldn't
The goal of the course is to improve flight safety - a pilot builds the right habits, fast decision-making and the confidence to recover an aircraft from a dangerous state that, in real operations, could otherwise lead to an accident.
Advanced UPRT (Upset Prevention and Recovery Training) gives pilots the knowledge and skills to recognise, prevent and handle unusual attitudes and critical situations - such as loss of control, a stall or a spin.
You can't learn this from a book. You have to experience it once, in an aircraft built for it, with an instructor who has put pilots into that attitude many times before. That's why training is flown on the Zlín 142 - an aerobatic aircraft that a stall or spin won't damage.
We complete it in two days, and you don't need to arrange any travel around it: you can stay right at the airfield. On top of that, you pay for the training as you fly it, so you don't have to choose between paying the full amount up front and delaying the course.
Before you decide
- The course is done in 2 days and needs no extra qualification beforehand.
- You'll be trained by instructors with real airline experience - the people who actually meet this in practice.
- Flying is on modern aircraft day to day, with the upset exercises themselves flown on the aerobatic Zlín 142.
Who the course is for
- Pilots heading towards CPL(A) or on to ATPL - Advanced UPRT is a requirement you won't avoid, so it makes sense to have it done before a deadline starts pushing you.
- Private pilots who simply want to know what to do if the aircraft ever ends up in an attitude they've never handled before.
Where it's flown and what about accommodation
- Training is flown at Brno Tuřany airfield, not in Prague or Ostrava - it needs airspace and an aircraft cleared for aerobatic manoeuvres.
- Because it's two consecutive days, you can stay right at the airfield - no need to travel back and forth between the two days.

This training is required for a commercial or airline pilot career. If you're heading towards CPL(A) or on to ATPL, Advanced UPRT won't pass you by - it's worth having it done before a deadline starts pushing you.

The course is flown at Brno Tuřany airfield, not in Prague or Ostrava - we need airspace and an aircraft cleared for aerobatic exercises.
Because it runs over two consecutive days, you can stay right at the airfield. You won't need to travel back and forth between the two days of training.
The flight exercises are flown on the Zlín 142. It's an aerobatic aircraft that a stall or a spin won't damage - which is exactly why these exercises can be trained for real on it, not just described on a whiteboard.
Aircraft rental is included in the course price.
You pay for the course as you fly it - you don't need to put down the full amount up front.
If it suits you better, paying for the whole course in advance gets you a 5% discount. Airport fees are not included in the price - send us a price request and we'll confirm the current rate and fees together.
